Tiki are a stylised form of a fetus and were previously worn by Maori Women as a fertility symbol. They are now worn by both men and women as a good-luck charm . The eyes are made of paua shell and the pendant is carved on one side only.

It is hung from it's side on an adjustable black, waxed cord.
