Maori Greenstone/Jade Hook with Koru 6.5cm
The koru is often used as a symbol of creation. It is based on the shape of an unfurling fern frond and its circular shape conveys the idea of perpetual movement, and its inward coil suggests a return to the point of origin. The koru can therefore symbolise the way in which life both changes and stays the same. Fish Hook shape means strength and determination and brings peace, prosperity and health. It also provides a safe journey over water. This beautiful pendant was hand carved in Hokitika. DJ195
