Description

For Maori the Fish Hook shape represents strength and determination and brings peace, prosperity and good health. It also provides a safe journey over water. Because Jade is so hard, it was used to make tools and weapons in the olden days. Today, the finest quality stone is used to fashion jewellery and ornaments. The colour varies greatly and is a matter of preference.

The pendant is hung on a waxed cord and comes in a flax kete bag. It has a traditional design carved on one side.
As these pieces are individually carved, they may vary slightly in size.
