Greenstone Jade Maori Mere-34cm (13.5") - No Stand

Maori were very skilful fighters with the club.

This jade mere is ornamental of a larger version used for both ceremonial and fighting purposes by Maori warriors. When they used it, Maori would lunge the mere forward in a stabbing motion, directing the rounded, sharp, edge towards the forehead in an attempt to break the skull and destroy the brain.
Manufactured from finest quality NZ Nephrite (jade).The stand is not included.
